My Favorite Games: Cooking Mama

As I said, I want to be a chef when I graduate. So this game is one of the easiest ways to practice my skills in cooking! Cooking Mama is a game that you can play in Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS Lite and also in the iPhone. This game is a cooking game wherein you are asked to finish dishes with the help of Mama. She instructs you how to slice a certain vegetable or how to mix flour. Everytime you don't follow her instructions, she gets furious but she would tell you "It's ok, Mama will help you!" As you finish one level, you can unlock new dishes to try. Aside from cooking with Mama, you can also cook with your friends. There are competitions in the game wherein you can join and compete against some of your friends. I usually play this game in the Nintendo Wii if I am at home with my little cousins because they enjoy this game a lot. Whenever I am out with my cousins, they would bring their DS Lites with them and I will play this game to unlock more dishes for them. I downloaded this application in my iPhone, so that when I get bored in class or during break, I can enjoy this game. Try it, I'm sure you'll enjoy this one too!

My Favorite Games: Left 4 Dead

Left 4 dead again is a first person game but there is much difference to the game play with Crysis. In this game, you are 4 people stuck in a certain map filled with zombies and all must survive. This game has a story mode wherein you and 3 other of your friends could help each other up. Here you pick your weapon, medkit, ammo and some grenades. The characters need to survive until the last chapter in the map where they need to survive the most amount of zombies and special bosses. There are different kinds of enemies in this game. There is the normal zomie which is all over the amp and is very easy to kill. There is the hunter, the zombie that jumps on humans and tears their flesh out. The boomer that vomits on humans which makes them smell more like food to the zombies so the monsters would go running to them. The smoker is the one that has a long tongue and pulls out humans away from the team to make them isolated and become and easy target to other monsters. The hardest to kill is the tank. The tank is the hardest zombie to kill. He is all buffed up and one punch from this guy takes out 1/4 of the total life of the character. The witch sits around not wanting to be disturbed. Once hit, the player is pushed down and would need help from other players. Check out the game here.

My Favorite Games: Fallout 3

The story of this game is the world being in a nuclear war. People had to go to to underground shelters and stay there for years. After knowing that it is safe to once again go out and see the sun, people are fighting over survival things like food, water, and weapons. It's realistic in a way that your character can always make the decisions. There is a list of answers you can choose from interacting with people. You can either be a good guy or a bad guy. Both has its benefits but its up to you on how you want to go about the whole game. The game is in the 2nd person point of view which means you can see the characters body. But it can be adjusted to first person if you want but its harder to see the whole environment that way. You would need to be smart in making decisions because it effects the character in the long term. Making bad decisions make it harder to cope up with the game. The graphics is simple and the mainstream computers now can easily process the game. To see the gameplay, click the link below.

My Favorite Games: Spongebob Diner Dash

Spongebob Diner Dash is patterend from Diner Dash which is a restaurant game. I like the Spongebob version comapared to the original version because I like Spongebob's character and I find it more interesting to play with. In this version, all the characters seen in the game are Spongebob characters as well as the setting of the game and the food that they serve. There are several levels in this game, and as each level progresses, the difficulty also increases. Spongebob is the waiter in the restaurant and he is tasked to entertain guests into the restaurants, take their orders, serve their food, fix their bill, and clean their table. There is a limited amount of time to gain customers and earn money in order to advance to the next level. If you have exceeded the amount goal, you gain an expert score for that level. After playing each level, you can buy stuff to upgrade your restaurant for example, buying a radio to increase the patience of the customers or buying more table and chairs to increase the flow of customers in the restaurant. It is a fun game to play because there are different kinds of characters per level. Different customers makes each level challenging. Try it! It's fun to play these kinds of games once in a while to relax your mind.

My Favorite Games: Crysis

This is a first person game like counterstrike if you would know what that is. First person means that what you see on the monitor is as if it were the eyes of your character. Crysis is a story mode game about a military man facing a different kind of enemy. The enemy is alien like and they dont know where it came from but had to defeat it. I really like this game because of its graphics. It has a high requirement to be able to enjoy the beauty of the graphics otherwise you mind find the game to be nothing spectacular. The character has a specialized high tech suite which allows different functions like the upcoming G.I Joe movie. The suite can make him move faster when he can't manage his enemies anymore. The suite can also be an armor which makes him receive less damage when battling with the enemies. It can also give the character strength that makes him jump higher and punch harder. It is used to jump on high level grounds and the super punch can be used to kill enemies silently for some missions. The game is simple yet very cool. It offers a lot of options in the gameplay which makes it quite realistic. You can use vehicles found in the game and mounted weapons too. Try out the game to see what im talking about.

Foods you must eat all over manila: Rice Taft Ave

If you're in the area of Taft avenue Manila and looking for a place to eat that's delicious and very affordable, then Rice: Taft Avenue is for you! This restaurant is found in the sherwood place which is in front the De La Salle University Brother Andrew Building. Many students from different schools also eat their lunch there because it's worth the money even though one needs to walk quite a distance to get there. They have a wide variety of choices ranging from Filipino to American foods. They serve quite an amount of food compared to other "school restaurants." I usually spend around Php 120. This includes the lunch meal and an iced tea. This restaurant has a unique feature. It offers a wide variety of rice to choose from - garlic, vegetable, bagoong, adobo, and beef rice. What I order here is the beef salpicao with garlic rice. Their salpicao is very flavorful and has a hint of spice to it which is complements the garlic rice. You should really try it!

Foods you must eat all over manila: Pasto

Asparagus oh asparagus so healthy and so yummy. Would you ever think of having it in your pizza?Pizza with asparagus is a weird combination but this next restaurant fuse the two and kapow! They made something weird taste really good. Pasto is a restaurant located in The Strip of Fort Bonifacio. It is in the Gonuts Donuts area. Order mozarella sticks for your appetizer. Then for the main course, order the asparagus pizza. Its really good. Combine it with rasberry iced tea and you're good to go. I suggest to go here for merienda if you'll take my set of meals in consideration. I forgot the price for this meal but I remember it was reasonable enough for the quality of food they prepare.

Foods you must eat all over manila: Mcdonalds

After my morning class, I go to Mcdo to have breakfast because I am drained by the constant concentration. I eat the mcdo breakfast to regain the energy lost from the morning class. This is the only place I have breakfast if not in pancake house. In fact, 90% of my breakfasts I have in Mcdonalds. I eat their pancake with Anchor butter which I spread evenly on both cakes. After I eat the hotcakes, I also have twister fries or regular fries if they dont have twister.

I eat the twister fries with ketchup to make it more yummy. For my drink, people would usually order coffee or hot chocolate but not me because milk or anything creamy would make my stomach act up in the morning. It causes emergency restroom visits which I really dislike. What I drink is orange juice. I usually add some bucks to have the orange juice. It would usually cost me Php 100-150 for this meal. Mcdo is very accessible because it can be found all over Manila.

Foods you must eat all over manila: Kulinarya

Another similar quite similar to Haiku is Kulinarya. Its found in the Powerplant mall in Rockwell in the first floor where all the restaurants are, its beside office warehouse. I eat here usually when I need to buy stuff from the mall or sometimes when I go out with my friends if we will watch a movie after. Its a bit price for a middle class man. I would usually spend around Php 500-600 for myself only.

For my appetizer, I order the very delicious crab and mango salad. Its full of veggie greens bombarded with mangoes and crabsticks. I do not know what sauce they use, I think they make their own but its really good! For my main course, I eat tenderloin tips cooked medium well. It comes with either rice or pasta but I suggest you pick rice so you can really taste the beef and the sauce that comes with it. The taste is a combination of sweet and sour and also has mushrooms. I'm full after so no dessert. Go try it out when you go to Powerplant and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Foods you must eat all over manila: Pancake House

I love this restaurant. You wanna know why? Isdalicious!! Not only because it is isdalicious, the price is quite reasonable as well! I usually go here after hearing mass with my family and grandparents but I also bring my friends there. My meal would usually cost me around Php 300 only. Cheap right?! Not only is it cheap, but its let me repeat, ISDALICIOUS! Although its not that expensive, the place is quit cozy with orange couches with movie posters on the wall. What I order here for appetizer is the basic caesar salad. Nothing fantastic, its the regular good tasting salad. But the main dish, the pan chicken, is one of a kind!
I usually order the 2-piece pan chicken. This comes with rice so no need to worry about that. Usually after eating 1 chicken I run out of good tasting gravy so I need to request for more then it's perfecto. For my drink, I order the regular vanilla milkshake not the extra hick one because its too sweet. After the 2 dishes I ate, I would still have space for dessert and I would usually order the hot fudge brownie which also taste pretty good. Do try these out and tell me if its yummy!

Foods you must eat all over manila: Haiku

I love Japanese food and I would say that this is my favorite cuisine. My favorite Japanese restaurant in Manila is Haiku. Its located in greenbelt 3 2nd floor in the food area. The restaraunt is pretty expensive and usually my bill is around Php 800-1000 for me alone. The place is very cozy with wooden furniture and some exotic looking plants. What you should try here are the following dishes. First, order an appetizer. I'll give you the choice whether to have california maki or crazy maki or tuna sashimi. Their tuna sashimi is the best i've ever tasted I suggest you pick this one.
Then order your main course which is the beef teriyaki local beef. Local beef is good enough because the imported one I find too expensive. This comes with veggies that are a bit sour and crispy which compliments well the taste of the beef. The beef is not a meal so you have to order steamed rice. For your drink, try the restaurants green iced tea. Its not bottomless so make sure you save it for savoring. After having the dishes mentioned, I have no space for dessert. I'm already full because their meals are quite heavy. After this , I usually watch a movie and I digest what I ate so I have space for starbucks afterwards.

If I Am President Of RP: Funding of animal protection

After getting fat funds from my future projects, I would like to concentrate some funds to animal protection. I love animals very much and I don't want to see them being abused. We must pay respect to life except ofcourse to those pesky bugs like roaches and termites but these warm blooded animals like cats and dogs must be given respect to their lives. Jail time will be served to those caught abusing animals Worse cases means more jail time. Eating of dogs will not be allowed . So Batangas watch out, find something else better to eat! I will have pet detectives who will guard the pets and put stray animals in shelters. Lets build a Philippines that is less barbaric and more loving. I will also promote proper animal care and provide more animal parks for those avid animal lovers.

If I Am President Of RP: Legalizing Marijuana

Did you know that in california they are already thinking of legalizing marijuana because they say it would increase the governments money. I am thinking of doing the same here when I become president. This way, I'll have more money to spend in improvement programs. More quantity, better quality. Not only that, but legalizing marijuana makes us a happier Philippines because of some positive benefits of weed concerning health issues and emotional issues. But if cigarettes are legal in our country at the age of 18, marijuana will only be legalized to people aging 21 and above. Because these are people who are more responsible and mature. There will be a close watch to the marketing of marijuana making sure that too many is not being sold to the public. There would only be a specific amount sold to public. No I will not get everyone high.

If I Am President Of RP: Death to Rapists

We have so many perverts here in our country and we have freakish and bizarre cases of rape. Daddy rapes daughter is an example. Now, to reduce this case of this very evil behavior, I will declare DEATH SENTENCE to those who will be guilty of ANY rape crime. Instant death sentence no questions asked. Not only to rapists but murderers as well. Those who kill must be killed. This will scare off criminals from committing such crimes. Not only that, we will have more space for other criminals with low cases since we are having problems with jail cells. We will also have an improved population! I know many would disagree with me but brute force must be used to shape up the country!

If I Am President Of RP: Increase Yosi Tax

We have many many many smokers in the Philippines. Just look at Agno in La Salle and you'll see what I mean. I believe that increasing cigarette tax would help the government earn more money to be used in the necessities of society. Smokers are in every social class. From the dead poor, to the filthy rich. Now here are some benefits; increasing the tax would obviously increase the price down to each stick of a cigarette. This way, the dead poor would need to stop smoking therefore making our country a cleaner place. Well as for the other classes who could still afford to buy cigarettes, atleast it makes the government earn more money to be used in the development of the country. Cleaner air leads to less sickness, less hospital visits, less money spent. Get my point?

If I Am President Of RP: No More Number Coding

After improving the public transportation, I would like to remove a law we have now which is the number coding. Number coding disables vehicles to be used in a certain day. This way, middle class and rich people will need not buy a new car just to have a car during the number coding. I will also encourage the use of car pools so it lessens the consuming of our natural resources. This is the hassle people are experiencing now. In relation to the problem with public transportation, me and my sister is a victim of this. Because of the lack of transportation trying to get to school, we sometimes have to wait for one another way too long, for like 3 hours at times. This is because we cannot use the other car we have because its number coding.

If I Am President Of RP: Public Transportations

The country is struggling to get from place to place due to the difficult public transportation system of the country. Though it is improving, we need to improve it dramatically. Systematized loading/unloading of jeepneys and tricycles to reduce the traffic. More policemen watching for traffic violators. I will build more MRT LRTS that connects the south bound to the north bound and east bound to west bound. Public transportaion vehicles must have no problems with the engine and should not be polluting the environment. Drivers caught will be fined of atleast Php 2000 depending on the violation. I will reduce the number of jeepneys and increase the number of vans that are using environmentally friendly gasoline. I believe that having an easy transportaion around the country will improve the business opportunities of people and to increase the potential in their expertise.

If I Am President Of RP: Build More Schools

Once I have adjusted the funding of money in our country, what I'll do is put up more schools with quality education for the poor. This way, the Philippines will be a smarter Philippines in general. There will be more business opportunity and less stupidity because of the education they get from school. If people become more educated, there will be less crimes and more potential for the business sector. More people working in buildings than people working in the streets. I will put up the minimum wage so people who are qualified for minimum wage jobs will earn a living. They will get the money they deserve and not the very low minimum wage the country is offering at present.

Better education would also lead to better everything. Knowledge is power they say. People will become more disciplined hence, improving the many many sectors of our nation one step at a time.

If I Am President Of RP: Replace corrupts

If I become the president of the Philippines, there is quite a number of things I would be changing in our system to make it a much better place to live in that it is now! I know what I would be listing her is quite far fetched and near to impossible but whatever, these are the things I'd do if I become president. The first thing I would to is to remove all the corrupt officials with high positions in the government and replace them trustworthy ones so I'll have smooth transactions with the changing of laws here in the Philippines. This way, I'll have things my way or the out of the Philippines way. I'd be choosing my friends who have the intentions of improving our country to a corrupt-free government therefore having more money for the improvement of the society.

Things I want to do before I Become Like MJ: Surfing

As I mentioned earlier, I love the beach and the things I can do on the beach. One thing I haven’t tried though is surfing. I’ve seen a lot of it on tv, but I haven’t seen one live yet. On tv, the waves seemed so big. I’m not sure if there are waves like those in the Philippines. But what I do know is that, if you want to surf in this country, La Union is the place to go to.

I’ve asked a good friend of mine to teach me. She (yes, I’m actually willing to be taught by a girl.) said that it would take at least 4 days to be able to stand up on the board. And without hesitation, my reply was “I don’t care, I want to do it.” I’m hoping that in a year’s time, I’d be able to say that one of my hobbies is surfing.

Things I want to do before I Become Like MJ: African Safari

I’ve been to a lot of countries and seen a lot of sites. But even though I’ve never been to Africa and an African Safari of course, I know nothing can compare to it. I’ve seen my fair share of sites: form the Swiss mountains and St. Peter’s Basilica to the concentration camps during Hitler’s time. So much history and wonders to it all, but an African Safari still stands out.

I was almost able to go on an African Safari back in first year college. It was all set. I was ready to talk to my professors so that I can take my finals earlier than the rest of the class. Then days later, my Mom told me that we were no longer pushing through with the trip. She misunderstood the package and therefore miscalculated the expenses. What she thought was cheap and worth it, was actually extremely expensive but still worth it.

Needless to say, I’m still looking forward to that trip. I’m looking forward to seeing (and touching them hopefully) the tigers, lions, leopards, elephants and other animals. And this time, I’d be able to do so without the animals being inside the cage as they are in zoos. It’s the nature, wild animals and being in the center of it all. It’s the wilderness! Who wouldn’t love that?!

Things I want to do before I Become Like MJ: Start a Foundation/Charity

For those who know me, this may seem surprising. A guy like me wants to start a foundation? That’s quite unbelievable. But for those who really know me, they would not be surprised at all. I may not be vocal about it, but I really do want to start my own foundation, 2 to be exact; one would be for people, and the other for animals.

For the people, I would start a foundation that would help less fortunate ones build their lives. For the adults, they would be helped to either find employment or start their own business. It would basically be a livelihood program. If these adults have children, they would hopefully earn enough money to send their children to school. As for the children who have no family at all, they would be given proper education and will also be included in the livelihood program when they grow up. I also thought of hiring some of them to work for my foundation to further help their less-fortunate brothers and sisters.

As for the animals, I plan to put up an animal shelter. I honestly haven’t seen an animal shelter here in the Philippines. The closest I’ve come to seeing one is the animal shelters I see on international films. But it is of no surprise to me when I heard that our animal shelter here sucks. This animal shelter would also aim to find suitable owners for the animals.

I know this dream of mine is quite far fetched. I need to be rich and well connected. I guess this dream serves as a motivation for me to really work hard for a successful future.

Things I want to do before I Become Like MJ: Super Scuba Diving

One of the things I love on earth is the beach. I love the white sand, the clean blue water, and the things I can do there. One of which is super scuba diving. Yes, it’s SUPER scuba diving and not just the normal scuba diving. It’s scuba diving only deeper and better.

I enjoyed my past scuba diving experiences, all of them. I’ve tried scuba diving in Batangas, Cebu and Palawan. A lot of adjectives come in to mind when trying to describe my scuba diving experiences. But whatever adjective I use, bottom line is that it was completely AMAZING! I’ve never seen the fishes and corals so up close. My favorite in particular was seeing different colors of star fishes all in one spot. There were four of them if I remember correctly, 2 blue, 1 red and 1 greenish-yellowish. To top it all off, I saw lots of colorful fishes. (That’s the best part about salt water, the fishes are so much colorful compared to fresh water fishes.)

I heard my friend talk about super scuba diving. I’m hoping to be able to try it soon, a nice beach located out of the country hopefully, or Cebu would be nice. One of my main goals while super scuba diving is to look for my favorite fish – the porcupine fish.

Things I want to do before I Become Like MJ: Drag Racing

Cars cars cars cars. Just like any other guy, I do love cars. I used to have a small car when I was a kid. It wasn’t a matchbox car like you may think. It was big enough for a 4 year old kid to fit in and to “drive” it, or pretend to drive it at least.

I don’t know if it’s the speed, adrenalin, thrill and excitement of it all, but I just really want to try drag racing. The closest I’ve been to is the go kart in circuit city. But that’s nothing like the real drag racing. Regardless of how dangerous it would be, and despite the fact that my mom would kill me if she found out that I’ve gone drag racing, this is still definitely on my to-do list no matter what!

Things I want to do before I Become Like MJ: Learn Martial Arts

About a decade ago, during my grade school days, I took taek wondo classes for over 2 years. I had a lot of fun training with my friends and especially my partner. My partner and I used to make up our own moves and mock our Sensei’s moves. But just because we used to mock our Sensei’s moves does not mean we did not respect him. I idolized him so much back then. I admired his speed, strength, stamina and discipline. I’m proud to say that I learned a lot from him and that I actually can still do some of the moves I learned from him. Unfortunately, however, being the kid that I was, I easily got tired of taek wondo and moved on to a next hobby which was basketball.

(insert various martial arts pictures)

At present, a lot of my friends are taking jiu jitsui, muay thai and the like. I, on the other hand, am too lazy to actually enroll myself in one and go to the trainings a couple of times a week. But I’m hoping that I would be able to find time and get over my laziness and actually start training again. I know that learning martial arts would not only teach me how to defend myself but also teach me self-discipline.

Things I want to do before I become Like MJ: Bunjee Jumping

Bunjee jumping is something I’ve wanted to try for years now. I’ve seen a lot of it on t.v. Yea, it may seem scary at first; how you might hit your head when the rope recoils or worse, the rope could suddenly snap. But that does not stop me from wanting to try it! After all, how many people do you know could say that they’ve tried bunjee jumping?

If I were to bunjee jump now, I would want it to be somewhere in Europe, France to be exact. I chose Europe simply because I love Europe. Specifically, I want to do it in Grand Canyon des Gorges du Verdon, France (see picture below)

Things I want to do before I Become Like MJ: Sky diving

Ask guys which super hero they wanted to be when they were a little boy, I bet majority of them would answer superman or any superhero that can fly. Admittedly, I do want to fly. But come on, there is no way I can do that. The closest I can come to flying is sky diving.

Thanks to technology, there is another way that I could “fly”, so to speak. Some of you might have heard of the jet pack, rocket belt or rocket pack. This is a device that uses jets of escaping gases and allows a person to fly. The said device is normally worn on one’s back. But if I want to be realistic, I would stick with sky diving since I know I can easily attain that. There is no way I can try a jet pack, let alone have one.

What I Want To Be When I Graduate:Artist

I had an elective during my last year in high school which was visual arts. I forgot that I chose that elective but I was really happy i was in it compared to other electives which were accounting, journalism, bioilogy, and other stuff that were boring. This was one of the more fun electives offered for the year. All we did was draw, paint and color. But no it was not the basic hulabaloo drawings done by kids, but the teacher actually taught us how to prepare and draw for an art piece. I learned a lot in this class including molding of clay and the proper way of using art materials. We even went to art galleries to picture how we should visualize our art work and leave the kiddie paintings behind. Even before entering this class, I can already appreciate artworks. I can see through the masterpiece and why it is so beautiful.

People were shocked to know that I had interest in art but thats reality. So when I grow up, I would like to be a painter and become well known all over the world like Van Gogh and be filthy rich like those really really wealthy artists. But I'm not sure if I have the extreme emotion to produce very dramatic artworks since I'm not depressed and suicidal. But I really want to learn and become an artist whether be it painting, or sculpting, or whatever. I want my artworks to last for a lifetime and be remembered by it.

What I Want To Be When I Graduate:Scientist

Science is one of my most favorite subjects in school. I excel in this subject most compared to all other subjects. I'm very interested in science especially biology. Knowing a lot about animals and their anatomies, I was getting grades from 85-90. I want to be a scientist like Mr. Einstein who discovered the law of energy.Im far from being as smart as him but we both have our similarities. We want to change how people look at life. I also want to be a chemist and try to create products that would be alternative to those that are harmful to the environment. I would also make a machine that would clean the air pollution so we can have cleaner air and live a healthier life. These are things I always think about day to day. I care about mother earth and you should too. So if ever I become a scientist and start a campaign for better products, please do support me. Im so far off being a scientist but I say education is for all ages. You can never learn to much.

What I Want To Be When I Graduate:Chef

I wanna cook. I like cooking. I like experimenting stuffs. My lolo was a good cook and I dont wanna be like him because I wanna be better. I would lke to learn how to cook super foods like the ones they sell in hotels. I want fixing the presentation of food making it look more cool and delicious. I think I would like to go to CSB and learn how to cook in the fastest way possible. I wont get a degree, I just want to learn how to cook delicious food so I can serve my family and friends with meals they've never tasted since forever. Ill blow them out of their minds. What also made me wanna learn to cook was the movie Ratatouille. Try watching it, its one of the best cartoons ever. This movie will give you more insights how the chef thing works in the kitchen.

What I Want To Be When I Graduate:Soccer player

I love sports. i always want to play all sorts of athletics after class. Mostly I play basketball and soccer and sometimes, just out of fun, table tennis. Soccer is one of my favorite sports and would like to be a player for a big team someday. I wanna be a player for manchester. I wanna be rich and famous like my brazilian idol, Pele. He's old now and cannot play soccer anymore. But he was the Michael Jordan of his time. Soccer was not that popular yet
but he was really really good. I was varsity in soccer during my grade school days and in the intrams team during High school. I was considering to join the varsity team of my school now but then I heard training is very early and I don't wanna wake up early. I like rough games and soccer is surely one of the roughest games .My right foot is slightly bigger than my left because of all he sprains from soccer games.

What I Want To Be When I Graduate:Pilot

Being a pilot is a career very possible if I want it. My mom knows people from pal and her friends could really help me out in getting in. This is what I wanted to be since high school. I have been to plane cockpits even during a landing(illegal). I like what a saw and I like what pilots do. But from what I've heard, training is difficult and I would need to study again. That's what's making not want to be a pilot. i really don't want to study anymore. I want to use the things I learned from school and not throw it all away. Im on Org-com in La Salle because I need any course before applying to Philippine Airlines. It's just a requirement and not for judgement. Thinking about it, I really want fly and visit the world but the down side to it is the time lost with family and friends. Ill be out of the country most of the time and exhausted when im back. Plus, I need to study a bunch of new technical things again every month for the whole of my career. It's a possible career but I'm considering the pros and cons.
