I do not share my computer with anyone but when I have visitors, some of my files need to be protected against accidential deletion or replacement. Or basically to secure files you do notwant others to see. This program called the DIRLOCK is very handy. It has a very simple interface.It does not have the fancy design that shows off that you have files hidden. Its a silent program thatlocks folders on your computer and encrypts it. The file is very light. For windows xp users, you would need .net framework 2.0 but for vista users, you dont need to install anything but you have to adjust compatibility to windows xp to make it work. It's one of the lightest programs i've seen so far. It has an install file of around 700kb only. You should really try this program to really appreciate how it works. Locking folders is so easy. The program adds options to right clicking a folder.You have the option to lock/unlock. If locked, just type in the password in a very small text box then itwill allow access to the folder.
