If I Am President Of RP: No More Number Coding

After improving the public transportation, I would like to remove a law we have now which is the number coding. Number coding disables vehicles to be used in a certain day. This way, middle class and rich people will need not buy a new car just to have a car during the number coding. I will also encourage the use of car pools so it lessens the consuming of our natural resources. This is the hassle people are experiencing now. In relation to the problem with public transportation, me and my sister is a victim of this. Because of the lack of transportation trying to get to school, we sometimes have to wait for one another way too long, for like 3 hours at times. This is because we cannot use the other car we have because its number coding.

If I Am President Of RP: Public Transportations

The country is struggling to get from place to place due to the difficult public transportation system of the country. Though it is improving, we need to improve it dramatically. Systematized loading/unloading of jeepneys and tricycles to reduce the traffic. More policemen watching for traffic violators. I will build more MRT LRTS that connects the south bound to the north bound and east bound to west bound. Public transportaion vehicles must have no problems with the engine and should not be polluting the environment. Drivers caught will be fined of atleast Php 2000 depending on the violation. I will reduce the number of jeepneys and increase the number of vans that are using environmentally friendly gasoline. I believe that having an easy transportaion around the country will improve the business opportunities of people and to increase the potential in their expertise.

If I Am President Of RP: Build More Schools

Once I have adjusted the funding of money in our country, what I'll do is put up more schools with quality education for the poor. This way, the Philippines will be a smarter Philippines in general. There will be more business opportunity and less stupidity because of the education they get from school. If people become more educated, there will be less crimes and more potential for the business sector. More people working in buildings than people working in the streets. I will put up the minimum wage so people who are qualified for minimum wage jobs will earn a living. They will get the money they deserve and not the very low minimum wage the country is offering at present.

Better education would also lead to better everything. Knowledge is power they say. People will become more disciplined hence, improving the many many sectors of our nation one step at a time.

If I Am President Of RP: Replace corrupts

If I become the president of the Philippines, there is quite a number of things I would be changing in our system to make it a much better place to live in that it is now! I know what I would be listing her is quite far fetched and near to impossible but whatever, these are the things I'd do if I become president. The first thing I would to is to remove all the corrupt officials with high positions in the government and replace them trustworthy ones so I'll have smooth transactions with the changing of laws here in the Philippines. This way, I'll have things my way or the out of the Philippines way. I'd be choosing my friends who have the intentions of improving our country to a corrupt-free government therefore having more money for the improvement of the society.

Things I want to do before I Become Like MJ: Surfing

As I mentioned earlier, I love the beach and the things I can do on the beach. One thing I haven’t tried though is surfing. I’ve seen a lot of it on tv, but I haven’t seen one live yet. On tv, the waves seemed so big. I’m not sure if there are waves like those in the Philippines. But what I do know is that, if you want to surf in this country, La Union is the place to go to.

I’ve asked a good friend of mine to teach me. She (yes, I’m actually willing to be taught by a girl.) said that it would take at least 4 days to be able to stand up on the board. And without hesitation, my reply was “I don’t care, I want to do it.” I’m hoping that in a year’s time, I’d be able to say that one of my hobbies is surfing.

Things I want to do before I Become Like MJ: African Safari

I’ve been to a lot of countries and seen a lot of sites. But even though I’ve never been to Africa and an African Safari of course, I know nothing can compare to it. I’ve seen my fair share of sites: form the Swiss mountains and St. Peter’s Basilica to the concentration camps during Hitler’s time. So much history and wonders to it all, but an African Safari still stands out.

I was almost able to go on an African Safari back in first year college. It was all set. I was ready to talk to my professors so that I can take my finals earlier than the rest of the class. Then days later, my Mom told me that we were no longer pushing through with the trip. She misunderstood the package and therefore miscalculated the expenses. What she thought was cheap and worth it, was actually extremely expensive but still worth it.

Needless to say, I’m still looking forward to that trip. I’m looking forward to seeing (and touching them hopefully) the tigers, lions, leopards, elephants and other animals. And this time, I’d be able to do so without the animals being inside the cage as they are in zoos. It’s the nature, wild animals and being in the center of it all. It’s the wilderness! Who wouldn’t love that?!

Things I want to do before I Become Like MJ: Start a Foundation/Charity

For those who know me, this may seem surprising. A guy like me wants to start a foundation? That’s quite unbelievable. But for those who really know me, they would not be surprised at all. I may not be vocal about it, but I really do want to start my own foundation, 2 to be exact; one would be for people, and the other for animals.

For the people, I would start a foundation that would help less fortunate ones build their lives. For the adults, they would be helped to either find employment or start their own business. It would basically be a livelihood program. If these adults have children, they would hopefully earn enough money to send their children to school. As for the children who have no family at all, they would be given proper education and will also be included in the livelihood program when they grow up. I also thought of hiring some of them to work for my foundation to further help their less-fortunate brothers and sisters.

As for the animals, I plan to put up an animal shelter. I honestly haven’t seen an animal shelter here in the Philippines. The closest I’ve come to seeing one is the animal shelters I see on international films. But it is of no surprise to me when I heard that our animal shelter here sucks. This animal shelter would also aim to find suitable owners for the animals.

I know this dream of mine is quite far fetched. I need to be rich and well connected. I guess this dream serves as a motivation for me to really work hard for a successful future.

Things I want to do before I Become Like MJ: Super Scuba Diving

One of the things I love on earth is the beach. I love the white sand, the clean blue water, and the things I can do there. One of which is super scuba diving. Yes, it’s SUPER scuba diving and not just the normal scuba diving. It’s scuba diving only deeper and better.

I enjoyed my past scuba diving experiences, all of them. I’ve tried scuba diving in Batangas, Cebu and Palawan. A lot of adjectives come in to mind when trying to describe my scuba diving experiences. But whatever adjective I use, bottom line is that it was completely AMAZING! I’ve never seen the fishes and corals so up close. My favorite in particular was seeing different colors of star fishes all in one spot. There were four of them if I remember correctly, 2 blue, 1 red and 1 greenish-yellowish. To top it all off, I saw lots of colorful fishes. (That’s the best part about salt water, the fishes are so much colorful compared to fresh water fishes.)

I heard my friend talk about super scuba diving. I’m hoping to be able to try it soon, a nice beach located out of the country hopefully, or Cebu would be nice. One of my main goals while super scuba diving is to look for my favorite fish – the porcupine fish.

Things I want to do before I Become Like MJ: Drag Racing

Cars cars cars cars. Just like any other guy, I do love cars. I used to have a small car when I was a kid. It wasn’t a matchbox car like you may think. It was big enough for a 4 year old kid to fit in and to “drive” it, or pretend to drive it at least.

I don’t know if it’s the speed, adrenalin, thrill and excitement of it all, but I just really want to try drag racing. The closest I’ve been to is the go kart in circuit city. But that’s nothing like the real drag racing. Regardless of how dangerous it would be, and despite the fact that my mom would kill me if she found out that I’ve gone drag racing, this is still definitely on my to-do list no matter what!

Things I want to do before I Become Like MJ: Learn Martial Arts

About a decade ago, during my grade school days, I took taek wondo classes for over 2 years. I had a lot of fun training with my friends and especially my partner. My partner and I used to make up our own moves and mock our Sensei’s moves. But just because we used to mock our Sensei’s moves does not mean we did not respect him. I idolized him so much back then. I admired his speed, strength, stamina and discipline. I’m proud to say that I learned a lot from him and that I actually can still do some of the moves I learned from him. Unfortunately, however, being the kid that I was, I easily got tired of taek wondo and moved on to a next hobby which was basketball.

(insert various martial arts pictures)

At present, a lot of my friends are taking jiu jitsui, muay thai and the like. I, on the other hand, am too lazy to actually enroll myself in one and go to the trainings a couple of times a week. But I’m hoping that I would be able to find time and get over my laziness and actually start training again. I know that learning martial arts would not only teach me how to defend myself but also teach me self-discipline.

Things I want to do before I become Like MJ: Bunjee Jumping

Bunjee jumping is something I’ve wanted to try for years now. I’ve seen a lot of it on t.v. Yea, it may seem scary at first; how you might hit your head when the rope recoils or worse, the rope could suddenly snap. But that does not stop me from wanting to try it! After all, how many people do you know could say that they’ve tried bunjee jumping?

If I were to bunjee jump now, I would want it to be somewhere in Europe, France to be exact. I chose Europe simply because I love Europe. Specifically, I want to do it in Grand Canyon des Gorges du Verdon, France (see picture below)

Things I want to do before I Become Like MJ: Sky diving

Ask guys which super hero they wanted to be when they were a little boy, I bet majority of them would answer superman or any superhero that can fly. Admittedly, I do want to fly. But come on, there is no way I can do that. The closest I can come to flying is sky diving.

Thanks to technology, there is another way that I could “fly”, so to speak. Some of you might have heard of the jet pack, rocket belt or rocket pack. This is a device that uses jets of escaping gases and allows a person to fly. The said device is normally worn on one’s back. But if I want to be realistic, I would stick with sky diving since I know I can easily attain that. There is no way I can try a jet pack, let alone have one.

What I Want To Be When I Graduate:Artist

I had an elective during my last year in high school which was visual arts. I forgot that I chose that elective but I was really happy i was in it compared to other electives which were accounting, journalism, bioilogy, and other stuff that were boring. This was one of the more fun electives offered for the year. All we did was draw, paint and color. But no it was not the basic hulabaloo drawings done by kids, but the teacher actually taught us how to prepare and draw for an art piece. I learned a lot in this class including molding of clay and the proper way of using art materials. We even went to art galleries to picture how we should visualize our art work and leave the kiddie paintings behind. Even before entering this class, I can already appreciate artworks. I can see through the masterpiece and why it is so beautiful.

People were shocked to know that I had interest in art but thats reality. So when I grow up, I would like to be a painter and become well known all over the world like Van Gogh and be filthy rich like those really really wealthy artists. But I'm not sure if I have the extreme emotion to produce very dramatic artworks since I'm not depressed and suicidal. But I really want to learn and become an artist whether be it painting, or sculpting, or whatever. I want my artworks to last for a lifetime and be remembered by it.

What I Want To Be When I Graduate:Scientist

Science is one of my most favorite subjects in school. I excel in this subject most compared to all other subjects. I'm very interested in science especially biology. Knowing a lot about animals and their anatomies, I was getting grades from 85-90. I want to be a scientist like Mr. Einstein who discovered the law of energy.Im far from being as smart as him but we both have our similarities. We want to change how people look at life. I also want to be a chemist and try to create products that would be alternative to those that are harmful to the environment. I would also make a machine that would clean the air pollution so we can have cleaner air and live a healthier life. These are things I always think about day to day. I care about mother earth and you should too. So if ever I become a scientist and start a campaign for better products, please do support me. Im so far off being a scientist but I say education is for all ages. You can never learn to much.

What I Want To Be When I Graduate:Chef

I wanna cook. I like cooking. I like experimenting stuffs. My lolo was a good cook and I dont wanna be like him because I wanna be better. I would lke to learn how to cook super foods like the ones they sell in hotels. I want fixing the presentation of food making it look more cool and delicious. I think I would like to go to CSB and learn how to cook in the fastest way possible. I wont get a degree, I just want to learn how to cook delicious food so I can serve my family and friends with meals they've never tasted since forever. Ill blow them out of their minds. What also made me wanna learn to cook was the movie Ratatouille. Try watching it, its one of the best cartoons ever. This movie will give you more insights how the chef thing works in the kitchen.

What I Want To Be When I Graduate:Soccer player

I love sports. i always want to play all sorts of athletics after class. Mostly I play basketball and soccer and sometimes, just out of fun, table tennis. Soccer is one of my favorite sports and would like to be a player for a big team someday. I wanna be a player for manchester. I wanna be rich and famous like my brazilian idol, Pele. He's old now and cannot play soccer anymore. But he was the Michael Jordan of his time. Soccer was not that popular yet
but he was really really good. I was varsity in soccer during my grade school days and in the intrams team during High school. I was considering to join the varsity team of my school now but then I heard training is very early and I don't wanna wake up early. I like rough games and soccer is surely one of the roughest games .My right foot is slightly bigger than my left because of all he sprains from soccer games.

What I Want To Be When I Graduate:Pilot

Being a pilot is a career very possible if I want it. My mom knows people from pal and her friends could really help me out in getting in. This is what I wanted to be since high school. I have been to plane cockpits even during a landing(illegal). I like what a saw and I like what pilots do. But from what I've heard, training is difficult and I would need to study again. That's what's making not want to be a pilot. i really don't want to study anymore. I want to use the things I learned from school and not throw it all away. Im on Org-com in La Salle because I need any course before applying to Philippine Airlines. It's just a requirement and not for judgement. Thinking about it, I really want fly and visit the world but the down side to it is the time lost with family and friends. Ill be out of the country most of the time and exhausted when im back. Plus, I need to study a bunch of new technical things again every month for the whole of my career. It's a possible career but I'm considering the pros and cons.

What I Want To Be When I Graduate:Boxer

I always wanted to beat up people when I know they're worth beating up. And I did in high school. I never lost a fight in high school except for a time in grade school when a fraternity group beat me up because I was sparring with their brother. I cried but not like in a baby manner but there were tears. so gay. I want to be a boxer when I group up becuase I love the feeling of knocking down people to the floor. I learned the basics of boxing when I was in high school. It was the time when Manny Pacquiao was starting to be popular and when boxing was starting to be the "in" thing then. I wanna be the next Manny Pacquiao of the world. I wanna be filthy rich like him but I won't use the cash for gambling or running for government. I think that when if I get the proper training like what Manny gets from Freddy, then I believe that I can be a great fighter too! I'm patient, and very persevering. I have a hard punch too! Wanna try?

I wanna to feel how it feels being in the ring with all the people in the world watching. And the adrenaline rush when I'm about to get physical with another professional boxer. I don't wanna get beaten up so this career is not something I really really want, but given the chance, I would. My idol is Manny Pacquiao as a boxer, and I really do believe he is the best fighter now. He will beat up his next fighter whether it be Mayweather,Marquez, or Cotto

What I Want To Be When I Graduate:Racer

I love driving since I was a kid. I had tons of car toys and my own kiddie go kart. All my gaming consoles had racing games that I never got bored of. I always wanted to drive really really fast and my top speed so far using my car which is 180kph done in the skyway from my house going to school. I always drive fast when I'm with my friends because they always challenge me to a race. But I'm not stupid enough to do it all the time because I know I'm endangering my life. All the crazy things I've done in High school upto now like chasing idiot jeepney drivers and running away from mmda, I enjoy them.

The feeling is different, the adrenaline rush is wow. I can imagine myself as a racecar driver but not here in the Philippines. If I wish to pursue this career, I'd have to go to California and ask help from my tito there who knows some people in Nascar. It might be a career too high to reach, but since I'm not an academic and I'm more into the physical and mental concentration, then I know its possible. This is my number 1 after I graduate college. Hopefully I can be a racer so I can be rich at the same time enjoying what I'm doing.

My Favorite Programs: CPUID-Hardware Monitor.

Do you want to keep track of your computer processor temperature? How about your video card temperature? The voltages of you components maybe? Fan speed? Is your Hard disk overheating? These are things that users need to know if their system is in a good state. Though many users would not understand voltages(same here), i believe that most of us know what temperature is. Its very easy to research about maximum temperatures of computer components. Just type it in google. This program show details about your hardware. It reads the sensors inside the computer and kinda like reports it to you. This program is very handy especially for those who overclock their computers. This shows if your overclock is safe or not. You can use these information to check for stability when the computer is idle or fully loaded. So if you have problems with your hardware, you can refer to this program to see which part of the computer needs fixing.

My Favorite Programs: Rocketdock

What is Rocketdock? Rocketdock is a desktop application to put all your shortcuts on the computer. You can use this as alternative if you don't want the standard icons on the desktop. There are many artists online who design high definition icons. Just search for the program you want to find an icon for and a list comes out with how the artist designed the icon. The animation is cvery smooth and it does not slow down the start up of the pc. It's also very light and compact thats why I like it. I really don't download things that slow down the computer as much as possible. This is how the makers of Rocketdock define the program:

"RocketDock is a smoothly animated, alpha blended application launcher. It provides a nice clean interface to drop shortcuts on for easy access and organization. With each item completely customizable there is no end to what you can add and launch from the dock.
Now with added Taskbar support your minimized windows can appear as icons on the dock. This allows for better productivity and accessibility." Better said.

Here's the website of Rocketdock if you'd like to take a look at it:

My Favorite Programs: Gom Player

Do you have a video downloaded but windows media player cannot read the file? You might want to check out this program that plays most video formats available. The Gom Player is an easy to use program with good features like video and audio enhancement for better viewing of videos. It opens really fast, much faster than windows media player. If a certain file cannot be read by GOM player, it asks to search its website for possible codecs to be installed to make the video work. But I doubt it if basic users need to do this since GOM player already has most formats of the videos usually used today. .3g, .mp4,.wmv are just some of the formats built in with gomplayer. These are usually the formats that you would need a different program for.You can change the skin to a much cooler or much sophisticated one. Ther are lots of options to choose from. The only thing I don't like about it is the name. What is GOM? It does not really sound like a video player. I just think they could have chosen a better name for the program.

My Favorite Programs: CCleaner

Ccleaner is a cleaning tool that allows the user to choose which ares to delete. It usually deletes junk files in the computer like temporary files and unused files. It clears the history of you web browsers and the files in the recently opened files. It takes back valuable hard disk space by taking out the clatters from your system. It also comes with a registry cleaner to fix registry problems. The file size is about 5mb only. A very handy tool for the performance and privacy of your computer. The interface of the Ccleaner is good. It does not look like a free software. It looks like you put out money for it.

Here's the link of the program to learn more about it or to download it:

My Favorite Programs: dirlock

I do not share my computer with anyone but when I have visitors, some of my files need to be protected against accidential deletion or replacement. Or basically to secure files you do notwant others to see. This program called the DIRLOCK is very handy. It has a very simple interface. It does not have the fancy design that shows off that you have files hidden. Its a silent program thatlocks folders on your computer and encrypts it. The file is very light. For windows xp users, you would need .net framework 2.0 but for vista users, you dont need to install anything but you have to adjust compatibility to windows xp to make it work. It's one of the lightest programs i've seen so far. It has an install file of around 700kb only. You should really try this program to really appreciate how it works. Locking folders is so easy. The program adds options to right clicking a folder. You have the option to lock/unlock. If locked, just type in the password in a very small text box then itwill allow access to the folder. If you want your files to be safe, go ahead and try out this program. here's the link:

My Favorite Programs: Zonealarm

So I use Avg to protect myself from trojans and the like. But what how abouti nternet viruses that could be sneaking in inside my system? I use the free zonealarm. Zonelaram is like a firewall that asks protects certain downloaded files from accessing the internet and installing harmful programs to the computer. This program asks the user everytime a certain program or executable would like to accessthe internet.

The problem with this at first is that it gets a bit annoying during the first few days after install. This is because it will keep asking you if to trust or not to trust programs that want to connect to the internet. So once you open like internet explorer the first time after installing zonelarm, there is a pop-up asking if to grant accessor not. But after trusting the program, it doesnt ask for access the second time around. You can also view the connection of your internet on the taskbar of your internet connection is active or not. Its a light program to help you be protected from internet attacks.

My favorite programs: AVG

When I refomat my pc, I download programs that, for me, are necessary for the security, performance, and entertainment of my computer. Whether using my laptop or desktop, I have these programs installed. The very first thing that i download on my computer after reformatting would be the AVG anti-virus. For me this is one of the best antivirus programs out there. This anti virus program is very light and easy to use.

The memory size it consumes on the computer is only about 36 mb. It can be updated daily and virus scanning is light. Light in the sense that it does not consume much of the memory of the computerso you can still do a lot of tasks while scanning your computer for viruses. The program is very user friendly and very easy to uninstall when you want to upgrade your anti-virus to the professional ones like norton or kasperskycomplete protection. As you can see, AVG is only an anti-virus with malware and link protection but its not enough to protect you from severe internet attacks. So watch out for the program I use to protect myself from internet attacks on my next blog!

10 Things Haiden Wants To Buy!!!

Nothing says quality sound more than bose sound system. This product that I would like to buy after realizing the speakers for my computer is just an Altec lansing atp3. Its definitely on my shopping list after trying it out in the Automatic Centre at glorietta. The sound is crisp and very clear. The subwoofer woofs pretty good too. Im not the type who's all about the bass. Nope, I'm into sound quality as well. I don't buy very low end speakers because I can't stand hearing my favorite songs in low quality sound systems.

It's a 2.1 system only but has dynamic sound with virtual surround. It has the handy volume control switch and the style is very simple but classy. Do test it out when you

get the chance to hear what I'm talking about.

10 Things Haiden Wants To Buy!!!

Aside from my personal computer, I also have a laptop for school purposes. I use it to make homeworks, school projects and research. I only use it in school and I rarely use it at home. What I have now is a Dell Latitude d410. It has a 2.0 ghz processor with 2gb amount of ram with only 80gb of hard disk memory. During its time, it was certainly one of the best laptops made before. But now, it's a bit jurassic. Its now compatible with vista and the screen is not that clear compared to the laptops at present. I want to upgrade to the modern laptops now and I found the laptop I want to upgrade to.

The Sony VAIO® SR Series has a 2.0 ghz dual processor, 4gb of ram, and a 320gb hard disk. I dont know how it costs yet, but ill let you know as soon as I find out.

10 Things Haiden Wants To Buy!!!

VS

After those stuff about the computer, I think ill be satisfied with its performance now, hopefully. What I actually need after saying what I want is a dsl camera. I need a camera so I can use it in my photography class and some other classes that could benefit me having a good dslr camera. Thing is, I don't know which camera to buy. I'm clueless actually. They say that Nikon is better when it comes to dslr but after taking shots from the Canon eos 450d, id say I like how it captures the images. My budget for a camera with stock lens would be around Php 30,000. My Professor told me that if I really want a good camera I should spend around Php 60,000, double my budget and I'm really not willing to spend that amount of cash for a camera. I'm not vain anyaways. I'm not up to taking pictures of my self rather, I'd want to take good pictures of the things around me. Help me out in what camera I should buy because for sure I'll be buying one this weekend. Im choosing between a Nikon d60 or the Eos 500d.
